Anantha Energy derives its name from the Sanskrit word "anantha" - meaning infinite or never ending

In Sanskrit, “an” translates to not and “antha” translates to ending. “Neverending” – This embodies the vision of Anantha Energy. We are passionate about providing a secure future for India’s growing energy demand through renewable sources.

Anantha Energy’s current operations are focused on building and operating multi-feedstock ethanol facilities on the Indian subcontinent.

We at Anantha Energy see two sides of India – urban and rural. Urban India is comprised of a highly skilled labor force which has left its mark on the global marketplace by competing in high technology goods and services. The city of Bangalore, for example, has become renowned for its many call centers and IT Parks which have been termed the new Silicon Valley.

However, we believe that urban India has only scratched the surface in realizing India’s full potential. Mahatma Gandhi once said that India is not made up of its few cities, but rather its 300,000 villages. Anantha Energy believes this still holds true today. While India is home to some of the world’s largest mega-cities, two-thirds of the Indian population inhabit rural villages and are impoverished. Our philosophy is that the small farmer always has been – and will continue to be – the foundation of the Indian economy.

With these philosophies in mind, Anantha Energy has entered the renewable energy sector with the production of ethanol sourced from agricultural waste products and non-traditional crops which do not compete on the global food market.  In line with our never-ending commitment to energy security, we will continually investigate new ways of sourcing renewable energy.
